عيدٌ في زمن القهر.. ولُقمة العيش هي الحلم الأكبر

🌙 Eid al-Adha Mubarak..
But how many Sudanese families this year can truly celebrate it with joy?
How many mothers are hiding their tears from their children, so they won’t ask: “When will we wear new clothes? When will we taste Eid meat?”

💔 Two years and more.. and the war still consumes what remains..
In Sudan today, thousands of families are no longer looking for Eid luxuries.
They are searching for a piece of bread to feed their hungry children.
For clean water. For shelter from the burning sun and the cold nights.

Children have grown up hearing the sounds of displacement.
Little ones who have never known a joyful Eid.
Mothers living in tents or on the streets.
Fathers dreaming only of feeding their children this Eid — even with a single humble meal.

 heartbreak…
> longing for markets that now lie empty…
> yearning of the villages for planting season…
> the neighborhoods missing children’s laughter…
Today… even meat is a dream
And bread is a distant hope

How many fathers today choke back sorrow, unable to buy a new dress for their daughter?
How many mothers cradle their children at night as they sleep hungry?
How many elders whisper: “O Allah, ease this hardship upon us.”

🌍 From the Taeziz21 platform, we write to you today with words from the heart — a call to conscience:
🔸 If you can bring joy to those around you — do so.
🔸 If you can give from what Allah has given you — don’t hold back.
🔸 And if you cannot, then offer kind words… sincere prayers… and a warm smile — these can plant joy where money cannot.

🕊️ Not everyone is able to prepare a festive Eid meal this year.
🕊️ Not every home will have meat on their table today.
🕊️ Among us are brothers and sisters in camps, on city outskirts, on the roadsides…
They ask only for the smallest kindness — things we take for granted.

✨ Eid is not just about new clothes…
✨ Eid is not just about abundant feasts…
✨ Eid, in its deepest meaning, is about feeling for others.
To give… to show compassion to those who cannot… to say: We are with you, even if our hands fall short.

From Taeziz21, we send a heartfelt message to every Sudanese home:
✋ To those sleeping on the streets…
✋ To those living in tents…
✋ To those awaiting the return of loved ones…
✋ To those who have lost family, homes, and land…
We offer you our hearts and our prayers.
We say to you: This Eid is for you — for your dignity, your patience, your love for your homeland and your family.

May you all be well this Eid…
And may Sudan continue to give birth to sons and daughters who bring light into the darkness, despite the pain.
And may we all remember — true Eid joy is in bringing joy to others, even with a smile.
