In an era where anyone can become a media voice with a single click, a two-day workshop was held in Kampala titled:
“The Impact of Media on Hate Speech: Challenges and Solutions.”
Led by Eng. Saifuddin Ahmed and journalist Sufyan Ismail, and funded by the International Republican Institute (IRI), the workshop tackled how digital media shapes narratives and how a single word can escalate tension or foster peace.
Participants explored the power and responsibility of media, engaged in hands-on activities, and discussed practical solutions to reduce hate speech in both online and offline communities.
